She wanted to die. He wanted to live. ••• A hand grabbed onto my wrist, yanking me back just as the train rushed past, before I'd even had time to comprehend whether or not I'd carry out the action. I stumbled back into the person's chest, my heart jumping out as I swivelled around, startled to find myself staring into piercing dark brown eyes. "Were you going to jump?!" "No," I drawled out sarcastically, ignoring the intensity of his eyes as they bore into my own, "I just stand on the edge of train platforms at midnight because I feel like it." Seeing the stranger tense, I stepped away from the edge, feeling his hand let go of mine as I picked up my bag before moving to sit down on one of the platform benches. Letting out an evident sigh of relief, he sat down after tentative movements towards me, and I could feel his intense gaze raking across my features. His eyes never left me, I was sure of it, with every step both he and I had taken. "Are you okay?" He had asked warily, apparent apprehension in his deep voice while he spoke, "Do you want to talk about it?" "What's there to talk about?" I threw his question back at him, watching him study me for a few critical moments before his potent gaze switched to our surroundings. "I did just watch you nearly kill yourself; that might be a place to start?" ••• She didn't expect for a complete stranger to stop her milliseconds away from committing suicide. She didn't expect him to be so kindhearted and patient. He didn't expect to stop her from jumping in front of a train the first time they met. He didn't expect to find himself falling for the one girl he knew he shouldn't. [Word Count: 180,000 - 200,000]

[BLURB] "Well, now I'm back and I'm gonna drag you to court, you piece of shite," she said before passing a humorless chortle. "Do that and you're doomed." He sniggered, his manevolent gaze hurling obscenities towards her. "Oh yeah? How?" She rose a perfect eyebrow, animosity etched on each lineament. "Let's just say, I have something of yours that'll destroy you." The telltale monstrosity perceptible in his evil kingdom of eyes set a havoc inside her adrenaline rushing body but she held her grounds strong. "And what's that?" And there he showed her something that choked the life out of her frail body as she lost her balance in dizziness. ****** Love is elusive but sometimes it knocks right at your door but you're too arrogant to pay it any heed or maybe too scared to acknowledge it. "The joke is on you now Muhseen." "No please don't do this, you can't just throw away all that we had like this, please don't" I pleaded. "I can't? Seriously?" She lead out a sarcastic chortle "Only Muhseen Salah can huh?" "What do you mean by that?" I managed to utter. "Exactly what am saying" she snapped curtly "It's about time you learn the truth Muhseen, I just tricked you none of the things we had and shared for the past week was real. Come to think of it, why will I change overnight? Why will I love someone who hurt me in the past like you did? Am not a fool Muhseen" She paused glaring at me. "No" I muttered ceaselessly as I shook my head not believing a thing from what she said. "No Cara you're joking, you must be joking." "You can take it as a joke it's what I did too when you broke up with me months ago so continue to believe all I said as a joke." She said cold heartedly not showing even the slightest care. Why is she doing this? I thought we are over all these. "Cara please stop this, stop it please my heart can't take it. You said it yourself that you've forgiven me. I thought we were over all these, why are you bringing it up now?" "Because I wanna break your cold heart like you did to me some time ago Muhseen plus this is the time I planned on telling you so it would make your heart crumple, bruise and hurt just like it is doing already." She paused and took a quick glance at me pathetically "Remember how you icily rubbed it to my face that you don't love me, that is was all a trick? Remember how you threw away everything that we shared? It's payback time Muhseen."
