Five years ago, seven houses were burned down in Greenwich, Connecticut by an arsonist, including Gilded Manor, the Austen's family home. Fast-forward to present day and still this much is known about the Austen family and their manor: Phoenix Austen, 15 years old, a mathematics genius and senior in high school, has no remembrance of the fire until Jane, the new girl in school, brings back old memories. Sandy Austen, 20 years old, a student at Yale, believes she can never have a child until a baby mysteriously shows up at her fiance's apartment. A baby boy named Chord. Lavender Austen, Sandy and Phoenix's mother, does not love her daughters. A woman named Marie Robyn has been watching both of the girls since they were young. The late Laurel Austen is a convicted arsonist and the husband to Lavender. And Poison and Ivy Austen were supposedly killed in the fire of Gilded Manor five years ago. It's not until Poison's childhood friend, Boden Darcy, goes missing that the case is reopened and Poison and Ivy's remains are to be found.
