My lone wolf

Emery has been a lone wolf with his mother for as long as he can remember. He couldn't even remember the last time he had stepped foot in another pack land. They have been traveling through no man's land for years now.

His mother made him promise no matter what happened that they would never go back to a pack. All they did was cause harm. They were cold, power-seeking monsters, especially the Alphas.

They made this vow and have held it together for ten years. And more years were to come or so they thought. After a vicious attack on the two, Emery's mother was seeing her end. There was only so much a wolf can do to heal itself without any help.
