Truth be told, this poem was written for a school project of mine, but I think that the feelings and experiences in here can be shared by all of us. Have we forgotten our entire childhood? What did childhood mean to us anyway? Is it worth remembering? Left to deal with the uncertain future, where everyone expects you to be more mature, perhaps we have to admit that sometimes we wish that we could go back to the good old, carefree days. And as for the many youths like me, with our childhood still fresh in our minds, we really, really, don't feel like leaving it behind, or do we?

~ This book contains several write ups like the one below ~ I use to think that whatever you put into the universe would always come back to you, just like a boomerang, but not all boomerangs return to their throwers, I've played the role of putting others before myself, I've played the role of a good husband, a good wife, a truthful friend, an honest person, your person, And none of it was ever enough, I wished it was but for you I don't think it ever will, So I think it's time I played a new role, one where I don't throw boomerangs into the universe and hope they'll return.
