A Shirbert Soulmate AU, still set in the late 1800s. On your 16th birthday, at the exact time you were born, a vision starts, depicting your soulmate. Anne Shirley-Cuthbert is an orphan who has been taken in by unmarried siblings Matthew and Marilla. She moved to Avonlea at age 13, and has been dreaming of her 16th birthday ever since she heard about soulmates. Gilbert Blythe had a large family at first. Now he is left with nothing but his weakening father. He has been living in Avonlea for a very long time, and has never paid much attention to soulmates. Until the day he meets a certain girl with bright red hair and a knack for getting into trouble.

However, she would soon convince herself that a single person was making her life hell, but all along, she was oblivious to the truth.
Living a Life With No Regrets is Dreamlike
Gilbert has just lost his father, he is alone and lost, he doesn't know what to do or what his future will look like, he hesitates to leave Avonlea. Anne deeply regrets what she said to Gilbert after the funeral. Following a conversation with Aunt Jo, she decides to go to the boy's house to tell him how she feels. The Cuthberts, seeing the loneliness of the boy, offer him to stay in Green Gables. These children, who will grow up in the same house, will not have a restful relationship between the jealousies of others and the hidden feelings of some.
