Roxanne Jones is a typical Nigerian girl who just moved to New York City to start a new life with her parents and twin brother, Alexander. Anie suffers from partially memory loss due to an unfortunate accident she encountered back in Africa but she stays strong and fight for the ones she loves. She never hesitate to speak her mind if she needs to as she is one who gets bullied by a specific group of people because she's 'black'. But obviously, she's not one to give up easily as she tries to put them in their place.

But as she moves on with her stressful High school life, her boldness and obliviousness attracts the attention of the one and only Jayden Weber.
