Maid's Tale

Rose Owen always had dreams of going off to college. It was already difficult for her being a black girl from Philadelphia, but her college dreams were shattered after the Great Depression hit the nation. When she gets sent away to work as a maid for the wealthy Roberts family, she finds herself in a situation upon falling in love with their son, Ralph. Rose & Ralph attempt to keep their rendezvous under wraps during her stay, but as time progresses it begins to seem impossible.
