"Kingstar, are you alright?" The she-cat warily approached the leader, "Do I look alright?" He snapped at the ginger apprentice, immediately dropping his gaze, guilt filling his eyes. "Adderpaw, I- I know your just trying to help. I'm sorry." He avoided her look, "Its alright, Kingstar, I know your troubles. I'll always be on your side." She sympathized.
Even though she was only an apprentice, Kingstar didn't know what he would do without Adderpaw.

But I don't see a problem. It's just fog." Yellowfang padded out of the bushes and flicked her tail, clearly annoyed. "Do you have bees in your brain? This could only be the beginning of a heavy thunderstorm," rasped Yellowfang. "Mist is never in StarClan." "Or it could be just mist," Firestar reasoned. Bluestar appeared with an expressionless face. "Well, what is it?" Yellowfang rasped. Bluestar sighed and then spoke. "When Firestar was Firepaw back then and I was alive, I got a prophecy. Horsekit has a great reputation. Her mother, Cinderstripe, saved the clan from the Twolegs. You'd be respected too, right? Until she became mute and disfigured. So he appoints her as the medicine cat apprentice AND a warrior apprentice. He says she has to train in both positions. And she has three moons to train in both, and pass both assessments to chose what she wants to be. If she fails one, Stormstar chooses what her future holds. But training in both ranks isn't easy. It takes a toll on the body, mind, and emotions. So Horsepaw looses friends, gains friends, makes sacrifices, and finds out shocking secrets. Leopardwillow has always wanted an apprentice from the moment she was an apprentice herself to the moment she became a warrior... There was one exception however she would beg Starclan not to mentor the stubbornest, violentist, evil-seeming kit ever- Smokekit. Little does she know that just so happens to be Starclan's will not only will she need to mentor Smokekit, tensions rise higher and higher within Lakeclan and a war will be hard to avoid, and Foxbristle; Leopardwillow's sister is accused of Bearstar's murder. On top of that drama Leopardwillow still has to save her clan from whatever danger lies ahead-little does she know her stubborn apprentice might be the cause for all this chaos... Excerpt: Flamestar's one amber eye shone in the moonlight; the moon soon disappeared from within the clouds. "I did not fail Junipercloud." Leopardwillow spat, "you should know not to kill warriors during things so ridiculous as border skirmishes Starclan doesn't want us to kill each other."
