It is the summer of Harriet Quinn's graduation and she should be doing something. The only problem being that ‘something’ is an elusive concept. Her general lack of life direction is rapidly becoming a drain on her spirits. And the move back home, with the inevitable dredging up of the past, isn't much of a help either.

Harriet has found herself in a constant trap of the mundane and uneventful. Which only makes it all the more surprising when a complete stranger recognises her face from a dream.

Suddenly she is no longer searching for her 'something' - rather a 'something,' that certainly wasn't her choice, has been dropped unexpectedly from a great height and knocked all sense and realism out of her life.

And that's how she finds herself teetering over the edge of a building ready to make a jump to the streets below. The difference being, Harrie is fairly certain she's not going to die - if the dreams are anything to go by.

This is a #TeenFictionAnotherYearShortStory entry. --- Believe me, when adulting takes place, you forget your naïve little side instantly and are ready to fit yourself in the big boots. But let's say, it's too soon for Olivia Dee. For her, graduation was a ceremony, a consummation of all the misery and guilt she had had to bear, of which none whispered-and she finally had the chance to leave it all behind. But the world's twisted, right? What if...I say, she has to relive all her past memories--that nasty first kiss, to be labelled a troublemaker, to be accused of things she could never imagine ever doing? Sadly, this is not her decision to make. A day after her graduation, she wakes up to face her senior year again. She knows that she had completed her education, she spends hours yelling about it on everyone's face. But at the end, she has to go to college again with one question--how does she even return back in time? But this time, all she has to do is grapple with a recurring dream, try to eliminate all the dark spots in her senior year and find out the reason of this travel back in time. Yet one thing's for sure, she hasn't travelled back in time. I give you my word. I know. There are numerous black-outs, sudden falls, chills, drama and a whole different system of cheating, drugs, revenge and a famous Queen sister, who is, mysteriously, now not famous at all. Watch her swim and drown, as she struggles between her reality and to keep up with her past struggles again, literally. Meanwhile, there's one context she never understands: Death undoes anything. *** Credit to @cattown_graphics She is a real darling, and managed to present me this cover at a very short notice. Heather Haggler, a young but comely fifteen year old faces extreme difficulties shortly after the death of her father. Surprisingly a bubbly and always happy 'fun spirited blonde haired' girl, as she used to be, is now a trouble-witted teen, who faces peer pressure. Heather has been very crestfallen ever since her dad died, and she grieves with it by smoking or drinking just to feel like weight is lifted off of her shoulders. She starts hanging out with the wrong people, and is fonded by a no-good troublesome junior, Michael Wean. She faces a horrible time avoiding him, realizing that another guy, Brandon Zeleski, the opposite of her friends, is the one she's in love with. She's a loner at school, because her friends skip it and hang out by an auto store. But as the story unfolds, things only get worse for her. Her best friend is turning against her, and she's starting to recieve horrible nightmares that are connected with her life and the death of her dad. She starts believing that her nightmares give out answers to her dad's death and her future, and she starts to distrust people. And although this seems nearly impossible, and becomes a long journey, Heather is challenged by her school shrink to change and show her mom and little sister that she can turn into her old self again, that is, if she's willing to cooperate with getting help to change, in the blink of an eye.
