Dear Lizzie,
I don't have much time left, they're coming after me. I'm writing to you now because I have a task for you, one I've been selfishly keeping away from you for too Long. Inside the box is a necklace,my necklace. Its not an ordinary necklace,it holds a very sacred power Lizzie, the power to teleport to other realities. Our reality is labeled as the Prime. There are 7 other realities which are the duplicates of ours, each with their own uniqueness.I know this is a lot to take in, but I'm giving you this now because the other realities are fading away. Without the others, our reality would perish too. I want you to travel to the other realities, find their seven leaders and help them save their realities.But of course it's not that easy, the people chasing after me,you must be careful of them. That's all I can say for now. The fate of the worlds are in your hands now,Lizzie. Take care, and know that even if I don't make it out alive, I still love you notice matter what.

After a night on the town, Sarah wakes up to a miserable hangover. But it's nothing compared to what comes next. After attempting to light a cigarette, she feels that something isn't quite right. Soon she'll discover that everything is very wrong. My entry in the Open Novella Contest III, Feb 2020. April 28. Just got the news that Thirteen Points has made it through the second round. Now I have to finish by May 5th. I'm not as far along as I had hoped at this point, but I'm sure I can make it. May 4th. 12:10 am. Finished. Submitted. Good night. May 20th. Well, 13 Points made the Long List. I have no idea how many original entries there were but about 940 made the first cut. There's 150 on the Long List. Not bad for my first time out. Now we'll wait and see how we fare on the Short List. May 30th. Well, Sarah and company didn't make the Short List. I can't say I'm disappointed though.
