Harry was still at privet drive 4. it was the start of the summer holidays, just after the war... Harry moved back in with the dursleys. But, they saw that he was broken and they took advantage of that and started beating him up. He was all alone, he couldn't contact Ron or Hermione, because Hedwig, his owl, died protecting him. he just had to wait, to get a job and leave.
Ginny, his girlfriend, found someone else, which made him feel even worse. So, there was nothing he could do, he couldn't run away, since there was no where to go, he couldn't go back to school, because that was his last year... he just had to wait...
And then, the dursleys got a letter stating that one of Harry's 'friends' were staying for a while. They were furious, but little did they know, that they didn't get along...
