If it were as simple as a thesis defense, Joey would not have found herself as lost as she was now. All her life, she was praised and recognized while she followed certain rules, the same routines, and her own upheld principles as a student. But being someone with a respectable academic standing, she just could not understand why Professor Royce was choosing to pick on her. Meeting him had put her life into a whirling mess which was something she hated the most. She hated things that were out of her control. Suddenly, a life she thought was organized and paved for success was suddenly put into a major revision.
