~ It started with a whisper ~

2:00 am brightly flashed upon my alarm clock which was set beside my bed. I lay there still unable to fall asleep so I decided to get a glass of water from the kitchen. As I was silently creeping across the wooden floor, it creaked with each step I took. A painful bolt suddenly shot through my body. I lifted my right foot only to realize that I stepped on a shard of glass. I fell to the floor in a loud thump, while trying to pick the glass from my foot. As I did this a thought came through my mind... why is there glass on the floor and where did it come from I suspiciously asked my self. Finally I got the glass out and I pulled my self up from the ground. There I was with blood dripping from my foot as I made my way towards the bathroom forgetting why I came in the kitchen. I stopped as a gust of warm air swept across the quiet room and that's when I heard it......
