There were many shape shifters in the world other than werewolves. Their packs were seperate, depending on their animal. They were peaceful with each other, as long as they respected territory borders. One thing every pack agreed on, which they actually had a rule about, is that it's forbidden to love someone who isn't the same shifter.
Jade was an 18 year old werewolf, who was the daughter of the Alpha. Being the only child, she was going to be the first female Alpha in pack history, at least of what everyone can remember. What will happen when she finds out her mate is a werefox?
