The first part of the Hunter Saga, The River of Spring, which tells the early stories of Vallen, the hunter.

After the Battle of Frostbatch, the harmony of the northern kingdoms disintegrated. Many fell victim to the scourge beyond the Wall, famine, and disease plagued the lands. After the defeat of the Civil War, the biggest concern for Novitar was the emptying of the treasury and the riots of others. Vallen, the hunter, fought in the war with many of his companions, whose wounds left an eternal mark on his soul, yet he remained with his vocation and at the same time with one thing he meant: murder. One day, however, his travels took an unexpected turn when he received a special invitation along the Slotka River ...
