They are very popular in Binghamton and everyone looks up to them. When men would do something wrong they'd say 'be like the Myers, they've got everything handeled'. They seemed like the ultimate American dream, but not everything is what it seems.

this is a story I wrote a while back based on what goes on in an abused child's home, the dollhouse as Melanie calls it. It's not cut into chapters, but does have stopping points. I pace around the waiting room of the hospital as Jakira was sitting down shaking her leg nervously. The hospital was busy as nurses were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. People in stretchers were coming in and out as well, as Melanie and Alexis finally arrived. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO MY SISTER DYLAND!" Melanie screams at me as she sprints toward me attacking me. "You fucking murderer!" She snaps as she grabs my hair pulling on it as Alexis tries to grab her off of me. "He didn't kill her!" Jakira tries to tell Melanie but she wasn't listening as her eyes were swollen from crying. I grab her arms pulling them to her sides and hugging her. "I'm sorry Melanie." I tell her as she calms down for a second before pushing me off of her. What happens when a man neglects his responsibilities? Or when he finds it hard to control his impulses?
