Now that Arthur is safely back in Camelot,  Alex has a new mystery to work with. What is beyond the edge of The Land of Stories? Who is out there? And why does it call to her so? With all these questions swirling around in Alex's head, she can't help but try to solve it. Meanwhile, Conner and Bree are still working out their relationship while they try to figure out what's wrong with Alex. 
But when Alex goes missing, and no one knows where, Conner and Bree launch into a new mystery that will pack their school year with much mystery, many monsters and witches, and terrible new villains.
