Eight months later after finding the Holocron from Bogano and getting it back from Nur, the crew members of the Mantis who are Cal Kestis, Cere Junda, Captain Greez, and Nightsister Merrin are currently on the run from the empire. The crew are still being chased down by troopers to hunt both Cal Kestis and Cere Junda who are still wanted by Darth Vader.

As the crew heads back to the ship from a completed mission, the Mantis experienced an unusual malfunction. With every attempt Greez tried to get the engine running, it continues to fail. They were surprised to see a stranger outside and noticed that he was the reason behind the Mantis's breakdown.

He enters the Mantis and introduces himself as Kai Marshal who Cere knew back when the Order 66 was issued.

Kai Marshal, who was a survivor from Planet Utapau, seeks the help of the crew giving them an explanation about his planet, Nalu, that had been invaded by the empire. Kai tells Cal about the Holocron being found and how it was the reason the empire had found the location of the force-sensitive children they could capture from the list provided inside Eno Cordova's Holocron.

He explains that they are on the verge of extinction and mentions that Darth Vader must be eliminated to restore the Jedi order once again and build a better community.

They have to find and destroy five relics located on different planets where secret hidden abilities were stored that had been absorbed by Darth Vader . This way, it could weaken him giving them the chance to execute him.
