Love works in strange ways
...is something that's been said by countless wannabe philosophers and heartbroken adolescents alike. There's some truth to that, though. I mean, if I was going to choose someone to break my heart, it certainly wouldn't be Piper Mayberry, of all people.
But it was.
And now she hates me.

"You better get used to it," I retorted as I spun on my heel and headed for the school doors that led to the outside.
