Anacrusis: Lamplighters

Uncounted bulbs of light sleep dangling from an unseen roof in an infinite room, their light a cosmic concentration of bottled dreams. Somewhere out in the Dark Fabric of the Void, voices sound echoless:

"Hey Time," Said Space to Time, "How many superlunary gods does it take to break a lightbulb?"

"Bugger off." Said Time, fed up.

As it turns out, it only takes one. For at that moment, Space took a large hammer to one of the crystalline bulbs, which shattered and refracted light through the broken pieces into the now tainted void, creating matter and all things.
And so Time groaned and began his grumpy march to clear up and disolve the pieces.
