A cliched B-list survival scenario: a zombie apocalypse. Just, a bit different. The zombies... stronger. The apocalypse... longer. And the heroes of the story?

According to Wikipedia, humans are terrestrial animals, characterized by their open-ended and complex language use compared to other animal communications and highly advanced and organized societies, among other things. Humanity has engaged in rhetoric and mythos for as long as it has existed. In fact, some of the ancient stories still remain, the Epic of Gilgamesh being an example commonly brought up. But what if the mythology of humanity was more than just that? What if a large portion of it was actually grounded in reality?

Take a zombie apocalypse, for instance. Originating from Haitian folklore, the zombie made its way into pop mythos. We all know that they aren't real; even the US government uses them in exercises to make the situation fictional.

But what if these zombies were real?

Irregular releases; I'll write when I feel like it. It could be daily at one point and annually at another. Averages out to weekly releases.

Please provide feedback, as this is my first time writing and I really don't know what I'm doing.

All hail f3.

"ꜱᴜꜰꜰᴇʀɪɴɢ ɪɴ ꜱɪʟᴇɴᴄᴇ ɪꜱ ʙᴇᴛᴛᴇʀ ᴛʜᴀɴ ꜱᴜꜰꜰᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʏᴏᴜ." You never believed in things like gods. To you, they were simply things less educated people used to explain things you already knew. That was until... the incident. You were walking home at night after a run to Hot Topic with one of your friends when something unexpected happened on the crosswalk. To others, it looked like you stumbling out of the way of a car being driven by someone obviously intoxicated. But you saw something else. Someone else. A man who wasn't there before pulling you onto the other side of the road as you froze like a deer in headlights. Days after, you couldn't take your mind off that incident. Something about that stranger seemed.. off. Not entirely human. You never got a good look at him to determine what was so wrong, and you thought you'd never get the chance to. That was until he came back. Hello friends! Welcome to my second greek mythology fan fiction! Updates might be slower with this one than my other story, Divinity, but I wanted to start another project before I lost the passion I had behind this idea. Basically, we have an emo Y/N who found a new meaning and joy in life after almost dying, and a chaos deity who saved her life because he was bored. Y/N doesn't really have a specific style, she kind of just dresses alternative in general. So don't be surprised if she's dressing grunge one chapter and mall goth the next. I use emo as an umbrella term a lot of the times, so thats what I mean when I say it.

What happens when narration becomes magic and monsters become stories? When meaning crumbles beneath the whispers of tales, and certainties drown in the din of words, truth wears a thousand faces at the windows of night. Survive. When the untold fades, and the unseen is lost. Endure. As kingdoms fall and life ebbs away, as souls awaken only to cage themselves within the lines of pages. Fight. For what remains is a silent longing to wake again, upon the shores of a dream unborn. ------------------------------------------------------------ A multi-character fantasy tale set in a world that has forgotten how to define itself, where eras chase one another in confusion. Knights confront the unknown, detectives battle dragons, and vampires raise dogs. The stars are wrathful, the kingdoms have fallen, and magic stands stripped bare. ---------------------------------------------------------------- For those who do not like indirect suggestion: A cruel, innovative magic system A dark fantasy that blends classic fantasy, horror, and the supernatural. Long story and slow build (although you can judge it in the second chapter) Multiple characters and a big world Exploiting (inspiration from) myths, epics and legends in worldbuilding Legends from all over the world: Europe, Africa, America, Middle East, Australia, Asia, Ireland etc. Mystery, investigation, and the need to analyze, focus, and use your knowledge and abilities to reach conclusions and form your opinion before the characters do (you are part of the investigation, not just the characters) Warning: "Contains graphic violence" "Not suitable for children"

Most of us long to "Be" but when the path gets too costly, or steep, we take solace in what we "Have." Remove the trappings of what we own and then what is the sum of us? They were the survivors, abandoned by the allies who swore to protect, in the ultimate gesture of greed and betrayal. Their world plunged into annihilation and chaos. With the passage of years in this blighted landscape order was established anew. Those who had been anonymous before the war found their will to rule, those who had experienced the comforts and ease of western life, thrust into darkness and despair. This brutal conflict had awoken those long sleeping, those who had ceased to care, those of immense power, the ones entrusted with the safe keeping of the often volatile mankind. Although their parallel world too was at risk, lethargy and arrogance ruled them. Against the backdrop of this savage landscape the saga of three such tribes of survivors unfold, and the unwitting chosen among them. One tribe sought to prosper via savagery, one by organized military might, and the other who ruled with no more than fairness and love. Three tribes thrown together, competing for the limited resources to survive, in a world teetering on the brink of total decimation. Driven by human avarice.
