Rory Knight had a normal life. She was the usual silent girl in school, sometimes slacking with her homework, but besides that she was all good.
Until the day she died.
Or did she? She escaped death, and now, once again, she walks the streets of Gotham, spectating the heroes and villains, staying in the shadows.

"Hey," I said cautiously, scared to make the first move. Thankfully, I didn't have to make it. Luca stepped forward and took me by the waist, pulling me close to him. A jealous snarl ripped from Anthony's chest. Did he just growl? What the hell's going on here?! Luca leaned closer to me, ignoring Anthony. "I'm not good with words like these. But you know that, Mavis." He smiled gently while his eyes filled with an emotion - love?- that caused butterflies in my stomach. A warm feeling surrounded my heart. Did it just speed up? Mavis, a young teenage human girl, lived a life of normalcy with her five best friends. But when these men reveal their true forms and claim her as their mate, she realizes the world is filled with not just humans, but hidden supernaturals. So, she enlisted the help of Gotham's most notorious criminal of all: the Joker. All she asked was that she help him with his missions so she would be associated with a bigger name. To her wonder, he accepted this proposal, and their deal was made. But, when one mission didn't go as planned, Joker almost entirely blamed (Y/N). He saw her as a liability now, not an aid. But, something prevented him from immediately punishing her with a shot between the eyes. Instead, he decided to play a little game with her and make a deal of his own: She'd show him that she could be useful, or she died. She only had one friend and he was an orphan like her, but she never went into the system. She helped him get through life and though he didn't condone her life of crime he loved her just the same. He would sneak her in so she would have a place to sleep sometimes. Finally when she started to create a name for herself, he ended up pushing her away.
