Stakes change when she catches the unruly attention of Nate Jacobs, who has a plan on his mind; a plan to get Maddy, his ex girlfriend back to him, and Cassie, his recent toy, away from him. When Sofie refuses, Nate finds a way to trap her in the agreement, which she reluctantly goes along with until she realises that Nate is more toxic than she expected. As his abusive nature becomes a problem to Sophie, she quickly recognises her opportunity to use her proximity to take the monster out for good. Nate has hurt so many people in the past, and if no one has the courage to take him down, well, she'll just have to.
