A region ravished by death and destruction, and being taken over by a force of brutality and cruelness, The Ancient King. As a famed mercenary is hired to track down this false king and save the land from his clutch. Or so he thinks.

This is a fantasy adventure story that takes place in an imaginary ancient Chinese dynasty. The protagonist Xia Ci, a seemingly unknown swordsman, makes friends and fights enemies as he becomes stronger. In his adventures, he gradually uncovers his seemingly "unknown" life experience and the truths that have been hidden.
