In the not too distant future...
Mike shows up on Joel's doorstep in the middle of the night with the worst news imaginable. The bots are gone, kidnapped, and neither host knows where they are or who took them.
*Cue epic adventure music*
Joel and Mike, with a little help from some... unexpected friends, embark on the cross-country, cross-continent, and maybe even cross-planetary adventure of a lifetime.
By the way, if you're wondering how they eat and breathe, and other science facts... then that's really an odd thing to wonder as they're currently on Earth: haven of oxygen and fast food franchises.
