Sodapop Curtis has an almost perfect life- well, a life as perfect as a dropout teenage greaser can have. His two brothers are just the best, he has an awful cool gang, he has a cool, good paying job, and he even has a pretty cool girlfriend. Everything is just perfect. Sure, the Socs get a bit annoying at times, and his little brother, Ponyboy, can't keep his nose out of trouble, but it wasn't nothing Soda couldn't handle. Except, he did have one problem. Soda always had a pretty great romantic life- he was a so-called 'chick-magnet'. But, he couldn't help it if the one person he wanted so badly was just the one person he couldn't have. Steve Randle, on the other hand, could have it a bit better. He loves his gang and his job is pretty nice. Sure, he doesn't really have a home to go back to after work, or a family as close and tight as some other people, but he has Sodapop. And to Steve, that was good enough.
