"Luckily for you, one of my many roles as a prefect is to show new students around," he shot me a grin and held his arm out for me to grab. I raised an eyebrow. "What? I wouldn't be fulfilling my duties as prefect if I didn't personally escort you myself."
I hesitated. Anne had warned me to stay away from the Malfoy's. She went on a rant after rant, going on about how I should keep my distance. This was the best way to keep me safe. I knew she had been right, and if I had more any common sense, I would simply ask him for directions and escort myself there. Or walk away without another word until I eventually found it myself or was still wandering around the halls until morning. Instead, I did the dumb thing.
I wrapped my arm around his and let him lead me.
