Three hundred years ago after the death of Avatar Kyoshi, Roku was not elected the next Avatar. During that time a new destiny was made for another child, taking on the role. Three hundred years ago, Avatar Aang was friends with her. He wasn't reincarnated, he was there in body and soul beside her. As Aang was awoken years after his coma, he tries to figure out why he had to remember a past life that wasn't even his until he became the Avatar. 
He sits surrounded by fellow friends Katara, Sokka and Toph telling her story. Eventually Aang tried to stop searching for answers, hoping that the answers would come to him instead of him seeking them out. "Did it work?" Katara asks Aang. "I don't know.."
