Rolanda Marshall's life is filled with kids that aren't her own (but are her own), long hours, lesson plans, anchor charts, and endless deadlines. Education is a learning curve and her seventh year of teaching at Wool Creek Elementary doesn't seem to be any easier than her first, but even with the challenges a new school year brings, Rolly believes quite firmly that there isn't a problem in the world a simple cup of coffee can't fix.
Unless that cup of coffee comes from the young, attractive, newly-hired music teacher, and well...then you've got a whole new set of problems.
--------------(Student/Teacher Series)
My journey with love is something I hope no one else has to go through. I'm not a saint, I've made mistakes, but I was also made a victim. There was a time in my life where I was so scared to be labeled as such, and I pity her. I pity her because she was scared of what everyone else thought of her. She never thought to ask, "But what about me?" And so, that is what I want you all to take out of this story. Because I'm not scared anymore. Fuck what everyone else thinks.
