Talia and her brother Nico and Randll are on a run for their group when at the town they are at is attacked by men. The three are taken hostage and pertend they only know spanish untill Randll slips up and says they all know english.
The three stay in the barn for a wile slowly gaing trust of the group. Only for Talia turn on them and run. Talia is found by another group but she makes a mistake that will cost her greatly. She is now a prisinor to that group for months. That is untill a group trys to save one of their owne who were taken by the group holding her hostage.

She goes by the nickname, Kata, a name her mother gave her. When she was two, her mother disappeared. Merle was in jail for two years and by the time Merle got out, Kata was four and they left their grandfather's place after Daryl learned the dark secret that hurt his daughter. When Kata's grandfather died, her family got the trailer and even though it was hard for her family, they made it work. Kata was taught how to hunt, shoot a gun, and grossly, how to gut certain animals. One night, the world died. Everything. The dead started coming back to life, killing the living.
