John Laurens was running out of places to hide-from the NHL draft that had chased him year after year, to the contractor begging him on hands and knees to join the NY Rangers, and to the people who were always telling him he was meant for something he wasn't even sure he wanted. He feared that if he gave into his lost dreams, that he'd lose sight of what mattered most: his beautiful daughter, Frances.
