She didn't choose to be there but had too. 

She didn't want to help her adoptive father kill over half the universe.

She didn't want to kill anybody but it was in her father's nature to do so. 

Princess Azariah Azael was kidnapped from Krypton after Thanos destroyed her planet. Her family and friends dying by her supposed father. 

Being controlled to help him, she wishes she couldn't. 

But that didn't stop her from saving a certain Asgardian from his death.
