"Just forget about me, David. Please!" she pleaded.

"I can't just forget about you Lizzie...you're the only one that I've been thinking about after all these years."

She eased away from me and tried to walk away as far as she could, shedding some tears along the way. But I was fast enough that I easily caught up with her. Holding both of her arms, I turned her to face me so that our eyes could meet. 

"Talk to me!"

"What do you want me to say David? I nearly screwed up your sister's relationship with Drew, I even slept with him and made a mess of everything back in New Hartford. Why on earth would you want to be with me?"

She looked so down and forlorn. Despite the things that she did back in New Hartford, I still loved her. And I don't mind looking like a puppy who's going around looking for his owner. 

"I don't know but something tells me that I'm destined to be with you."

She looked down and I rested my forehead against hers. This is the first time that I finally made a decision. I'll be chasing her around til she realizes that I'm the one meant for her. Let the chasing begin!
