Story of a Filipino-American Baby who never saw her father and was raised by a poor mother whose job as a club waitress left her with almost no time to tend to her daughter's needs. Mercy ,13 . goes to school ,joins a running club with the hope of being a professional athlete.She runs with an older friend/trainer Bonjie, 15 and close friend Cora,12.They live a good simple life without any fear...they share their little worries,cry at times,but they keep their focus on running for more miles to let go of some steam until Mercy met her predator and she runs ,afraid and alone...until she runs no more.

Jerry decides to run away, but ends up destroying another family by taking all of his anger towards his dad out on a stranger. How will this all be reconciled?
