In our world, there are three types of people. Mystics, who have incredible connection to the earth's powers and amazing magical abilities. Aurians, who have no connection to the earth, and not a drop of magic in them. Half-Breeds, the middle ground, born from the rare love of an Aurian and a Mystic, born with no magic, but connection to earth. I, Rowan Oaks, am an Aurian. I will never be able to create water from air, or open up a flower bud before it was meant to bloom. But I'm alright with that. Genuinely, magic seems like a wonderful gift. You want it, but you could live without it. However, there is one thing that I've always envied Half-Breeds and Mystics for. The connection to the earth that I mentioned earlier? It's pretty important. Because of that bond, people can reincarnate.All Rights Reserved

Earth and humanity were saved, and the little planet to thank for their salvation was named Umbra. Alice is a xenoarchaeologist, her passion in life has always been the study of ancient cultures, and now she has the opportunity to study the most ancient one of them all. The very one that modern Human civilization was built on. Alice and her boyfriend accepted a posting on the famous and ancient ship, the U.S.S.A Umbra.
