In our world, there are three types of people. Mystics, who have incredible connection to the earth's powers and amazing magical abilities. Aurians, who have no connection to the earth, and not a drop of magic in them. Half-Breeds, the middle ground, born from the rare love of an Aurian and a Mystic, born with no magic, but connection to earth. I, Rowan Oaks, am an Aurian. I will never be able to create water from air, or open up a flower bud before it was meant to bloom. But I'm alright with that. Genuinely, magic seems like a wonderful gift. You want it, but you could live without it. However, there is one thing that I've always envied Half-Breeds and Mystics for. The connection to the earth that I mentioned earlier? It's pretty important. Because of that bond, people can reincarnate.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

A human girl/merman historical romance. (That ocean rizz) ◇Prequel to Sea of Dreams ◇ This is the tale of a girl who is swept away into the deep, straight into the arms of a terrifying merman. Can also be read as a stand-alone :) ●Preview● Larissa cried out in alarm along with the riotus pirates as the row boat flipped over into the dark choppy waves. Her voice was instantly cut short by the onslaught of salt water invading her lungs. Beneath the depths, she saw nothing but churning water rushing through her vision. Distant cries of terror and anguish from above the surface filled her ears. Murkey red waves began to swirl all around her, and suddenly, a flashing streak of white, and the glimmer of a silvery blue tail swooshed past her eyes in an effervescent blur. Adrenaline immediately crushed into her, enveloping her sanity. Her heart hammered erractically, and her limbs frantically moved on their own volition, propelling her upward for air. Breaking through the surface, she gasped anxiously for oxygen, while the invading shouts of the English men bombarded the air with the atmosphere of sheer panic. Paralyzing fear gripped her entire being as she looked up, the salt water trailing down her face from her wet hair. One by one, before her very eyes, each man still swimming within the beating waves was mercilessly yanked down into the depths, followed by a splash and glimmer of that same silvery tail whipping back and forth viciously within the churning waters, sending up foamy sprays of water and spurts of pirate blood in it's wake.
