The war with the Queen of Linos is over, and Eli is content in the land of elves, believing that her life can finally make some sense. 
But after the kings of both lands announce that Eli and some of the others will be travelling to the continent, the land beyond the sea about which the Alonians know very little, her calm and peaceful life is shaken to its core, especially after meeting an annoying human princess who would be accompanying them to the continent.
Their goal is to be good guests and find out whether the kingdoms on the continent are a threat.
But instead, she uncovers hidden secrets about her hosts, herself, and Rileigh, and Eli is forced to put her feelings aside again to navigate an unfamiliar land while getting rid of a new threat.
