Told in the perspective of both Elliot and James, two college students who meet in art school, Thank You, Elliot explores the fears and fantasies of the pair as they travel back home after a road trip to San Diego. Truthful and raw, Elliot's voice empowers the dread and confusion he feels toward liking James, a thoughtful, caring boy who, for once, seems to actually like him back.
