Aren't you ever tired of the same old super hero story? The hero is cool looking with bulging muscles, and always wins. Like, always. Even if the situation is dire and it all seems lost. All the sudden, freaking deus ex machina. And the villain is either some super nerd, or a loser. Do you have any idea how stereotypical that is? Hero=jock/bully. Villain=nerd/loser. But not this time. This is a new story. The Life of a Villain. Part 1: This is a story about Leonardo Sutton a.k.a Knifeslinger, an 18 year old villain out for revenge for his family's death. He goes undercover at Ravenswood Academy where he meets new friends and old friends, and an evil plot that could shake the world. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Problem is, I'm not so great at controlling whatever the hell it is I've become...Not to mention I'm on the run from my country for a teensy-weensy act of treason while being chased by a shadowy masked mute who may or may not have superhuman abilities too (but is definitely stupid hot under his off-putting disguise). A Guide to Being Super
Every city has its claim to fame and for the city of Cytropolis it's their superheroes. But unlike the cities of Gotham and Central City, this isn't a good thing. Cytropolis is known far and wide as the city with the clumsiest and least influential superheroes ever. But it never mattered that much since the super villains were just as bad. That is, until recently when the villains decided to smarten up and open a super villain academy to train the newest generation (something that never occurred to the heroes). Luckily for them, Matt Miller has arrived. He may seem like an average, normal (even bordering on boring) seventeen-year-old boy, but when are things ever what they seem? He may be apathetic and bitter but he has super powers and he's kind of, well, powerful.
