Hating people and making them hate me is what I do. It doesn't matter if I did it intentionally or not. For years, I have been living my life giving disappointment, hatred, and putting those people's lives in danger. I don't care because that's how they made me feel. But why am I conscious of what you think about me? Why do I feel the need to obey, respect and make you think that I am a good person? What power do you think you hold? And who do you think you are? Eventually, feelings grew, mine became love that I want to keep for eternity. We both tried our best to fight for the love that we think we deserve. We both promised ourselves to conquer the waves and climb mountains to reach the hands of the person that we love. We strive hard to protect the string, and to not let anyone or anything cut them. We were so desperate that we forgot it wasn't just the string that connects us. It was also our love, our souls and our fate. Our love was so deep that if one tries to touch it, they drown. Our souls were so intertwined that we became one till death. And our fate was cursed... that we ended like this... Did fate really play with us? "Realization comes when you are alone in your room" They said, "actions speak louder than words" but the truth is, there are really actions that can't be acted and words that can't be mouthed because of a certain situation. We know ourselves exactly better than anyone else but are sometimes in denial because of fear of rejections. Loving someone means committing to them; we have to love their flaws, especially their past. We can't love a person just because of their good side because we also have to deal with their dark phase. I was there in your darkest but also is the reason why you were there. What if because I was waiting for the right time to come, I ran out of so many chances? Words I never Tell
At some point in my life, I choose to let go of her. And not because I stopped loving her, but because I had reached the point that I was drained and can no longer continue fighting for her when all she gives me in return is pain. It's not about asking to get my feelings reciprocated, I just realized that I deserve the same amount of love that I am giving. And it hurts to know that when I decided to let go, she didn't hold my hand to keep holding on. She never tried to fight for her place in my heart. -Hariette I'm not afraid of love.
