Jennifer Rain, 26, is a postgraduate who travels to Kyrat to finish her research paper about religions in Asia. However, this trip to the Himalayas is not as simple as she thought, for the country is under a civil war led by "Golden Path".
On the bus to Kyrat, she met Ajay Ghale, who is returning to his home country to scatter his late mother's ashes.
Both of them have their own reasons to go to the mountain, but they don't seem to know how much their lives are going to be changed after they met.

Where you just spend most of your time wondering how you got there in the first place.
