CURRENTLY ON HIATUS Fifteen year-old Isla Raj had always wanted to embark on a beautiful, exciting adventure, to, perhaps, an exotic country or a vast ocean. Little did she expect that, one day, the grandest adventure of her life would come to her. A mysterious bookshelf appears in the young adult section of the library, a section that Isla is very familiar with. When she inquires at the front desk about the recent addition, the librarian assures her that the shelf has been there since the library's opening. Chagrin and quite convinced something mysterious is taking place, Isla can't resist checking out a few of the strange new books. Later, as she and her closest friend, Robin, are inspecting the volumes, they make an astounding discovery that leaves them falling through a portal and landing in a fantasy land. Florinth is the realm out of every reader's wildest imagination, a beautiful kingdom that boasts wondrous sights and creatures. The more they explore, the more Isla and Robin find themselves in awe of this mysterious world they've stumbled upon. However, the day the two had planned to return home, disaster strikes. They find themselves with no option other than to help save the kingdom from the most dangerous threat it's faced in, apparently, centuries. Otherwise, they may never see their beloved hometown again. Occasional language, nothing too colorful. :) 7.23.20 - #3 in femalehero Who created the stunning cover, you ask? That would be the very talented @effervescenttt

Airyn is great at making poor life choices, but she has to admit bringing home an injured, sword-wielding stranger she met in the middle of the night in a park is probably the peak of stupidity. Then she finds herself offering to help dodge the police and show him around town. The more time she spends with him, the more she thinks he's off his meds, or she's the victim of a television prank show. There's no such thing as magic, and he can't really be a knight in shining armor, but for once her life isn't boring. When the portal back to his world stands open before her, she can't let him disappear from her life. She takes his hand and follows him to his world, swearing to help him finish his quest and save a princess. Without trains, showers, or coffee.
