Twenty three years old Alice Hunter knew way before the end of the world how dark the human soul could be and she saw with her own eye it could be even darker after the dead awoke. When she is saved from death and brought back to a farm she don't know what to do. She think her best shot at survival is to go her own way. But is it really? Alice never really had something she could call a family but she finds one in the most unexpected place. She though life was a nightmare but she will learn dreams can come true event in this forsaken world.

Story starts right after the incident at Hershel's barn but does not follow the story line of the show after that. The main character is a young woman named Nora who at first has developed feelings for Glenn after he was the one who helped get her out of the city. When she realizes she's held on to her feelings too long, she quickly starts to feel lost. Nora is somewhat of a trouble magnet but most of all she just wants to find her place in this new world. Along the way, she finds comfort in an unlikely person. (I do not own the original art for the cover) {I started this story back in December 2011 on Tumblr and although it didn't get the fan following that I had always hoped for, it did well in it's own way. It had loyal followers and I got comments on how much readers loved it. I thought I would try posting it on Wattpad to see what becomes of it. The story is completed on Tumblr and as I bring it over here, I'm also doing small rewrites to the story. There are scenes that I needed to cut out and change up just because my view of things has changed as well and I wanted this story to reflect that. Hunter Peletier, the older brother of Sophia Peletier and the son of Carol and Ed Peletier, is a 18 year old boy who wants to see the group survive while trying to survive himself, but every now and then, not only would Carol be verbally and physically abused, Hunter would be as well, resulting in a scar on his face by Ed that will never heal. Later on in his teen years, Hunter would finally have the courage to fight back against Ed after finding out that his own father would sexually assault his baby sister, and would come this close to getting Ed in jail until Carol, at the last second, would press no charges on her husband, leaving Hunter infuriated with his own mother still being willing to stay by Ed's side. However, as the dead would rise and the people would die, Hunter had no choice but to go with his family to drive on the outskirts of Atlanta, and set up camp with a fellow group of survivors. During this time, he developed a friendship with the fellow survivors, including Dixon brothers, and while Merle was dead set against teaching Hunter about living outdoors, Daryl would take up the reigns and mentor Hunter in living off the land and hunting for food while being capable of being the camp's chef a few times. As the survivors try to live and work together, they would hear a voice on the radio, and what they find out would be so shocking, even the abuse Ed did on his own family doesn't match up the horror they are about to face.Complete
