Mature
There was no time to prepare for the pandemic when it came. No one knows where the disease took shape or how it swept around the globe so quickly, taking most of the poor souls it infected. Nearly twenty years later, the origins don't even matter anymore. Society has all but crumbled and factions wage war for the privilege of rebuilding to their own ideals, turning to imperialistic methods to sustain their efforts.

This turbulent, feudal-like world is the only one Caydence has ever known. Like many others, Caydie survived the pandemic by getting sick, but beating the disease was only the beginning. Now she has a secret, one that has condemned many others like her. Simply lying low is no longer an option and surviving has become just a little more complicated.
