Berwald was a troubled teenager, like the usual these days. He was bullied for years, and was relieved to be going into the Swedish military and to get away from the awful memories. He throws himself into the war, not caring if he was to die or not. But that all changes when he meets a faithful little Finnish boy, and his attitude and aspect of life changes completely.
