One night, Briar, Caspian, and their friend Sebastian find themselves as the lone survivors in the village after the royal guard destroys everything the once called home. They seek out ancient beings called The Fated Ones who tell them of a prophecy in which the three of them are to destroy the royal family of Kordonia from the inside. Not only must Briar seduce and kill Prince Finnigan of Kordonia, but Caspian and Sebastian must become liked and trusted at court as they discover the royal family's dark secrets that could lead to destruction.
