danica chen remembers the ducks fondly. they were a huge part of her life for a long time. she was there before they even got the name 'ducks'. back when it was just a team of kids with magazines as knee pads, who went by 'district five'.

but after their winning season with gordon bombay, she was promptly moved to new york to live with her father, after accepting a broadway role in the secret garden.

she was left with only memories of her old friends, and continued to play hockey in whatever free time she had left, getting better and better each year.

still, she wasn't expecting to get an invitation to join team usa, and get the chance to play with her former duckies.

she's ecstatic about the whole thing, especially after she realizes she might just rekindle an old flame with the one and only, charlie conway.
