Lauren is a young girl with a hard past. On her 28th birthday her world is forever changed.
Her life was never a normal, if having a normal life is even a thing. She didn't go to dances, she didn't go to play at the park, her parents weren't around much either. She only had one friend, the little boy down the road who stole her heart and she fell in love. Throughout her life she's faced many hardships. All of which have impacted her life and shaped her into the person she is today.
A broken girl who's been trying to desperately put herself back together. Ever since that day so many years ago she hasn't been the same. The start of this apocalypse is also the start of her change. She realizes she is strong, and she can do this no matter how hard things may be.
Along the way she'll learn who Che can trust, and she's going to run into people of the past. Will she move on and become a new person, or will past struggles tear her down?

Story starts right after the incident at Hershel's barn but does not follow the story line of the show after that. The main character is a young woman named Nora who at first has developed feelings for Glenn after he was the one who helped get her out of the city. When she realizes she's held on to her feelings too long, she quickly starts to feel lost. Nora is somewhat of a trouble magnet but most of all she just wants to find her place in this new world. Along the way, she finds comfort in an unlikely person. (I do not own the original art for the cover) {I started this story back in December 2011 on Tumblr and although it didn't get the fan following that I had always hoped for, it did well in it's own way. It had loyal followers and I got comments on how much readers loved it. I thought I would try posting it on Wattpad to see what becomes of it. The story is completed on Tumblr and as I bring it over here, I'm also doing small rewrites to the story. There are scenes that I needed to cut out and change up just because my view of things has changed as well and I wanted this story to reflect that. After all the years of violence and roughness I grew to crave him like a secret drug. His gentle touch, his unconditional love and care. As much as my scarred soul craves it, this thing between us is crossing all the lines and breaking all the rules I knew. So I drown in ecstasy and weed even more, trying to figure myself out, so lost in my own bullshit that I didn't notice that his perfect life isn't as good as he says it is, and when I finally open my eyes, he's gone. Lauren just went where the day took her with only 2 objectives on her mind; food and water. As her path stretches, things become more complicated and she finds that food, water and shelter are the last things on her mind. This story tells Lauren's journey before she met the infamous rick grimes and what she has to go through before she crosses their path and it all leads up to their big meeting on the rail road tracks, a spy and a cure. Will she ever find her sister? Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs.
