Hanta constantly finds himself in situations he could easily get himself out of. His desire to be normal keeps him from doing so. He manages to stay on the sidelines, he manages to stay plain as he possibly could.

When the Sports Festival was announced, Hanta had been excited. He had always loved watching the festivals, every time it came around. Now he could finally be in one. He had been almost certain nothing would go wrong.

Then Hanta's fight with Todoroki came up. The moment he was surrounded in sharp coldness, he blacked out.

The next time he opened his eyes, Todoroki had been laying unconscious in front of him, and the entire audience had been watching him in shocked silence. As he's declared the winner of the match, Hanta mutters a single word upon realizing what had happened.

In most situations, Hanta would be able to react quite enthusiastically, he was usually someone that would have the right answers to the wrong questions, a level head in a room full of balloons, he was a calming force when needed. That doesn't explain why he was gawking at Todoroki at one in the morning when asked for oranges. But low-and-behold, the man and the myth himself was standing outside his room, in silk smooth pajamas and pin-straight gorgeous hair may he add, waiting for Hanta to open his mouth and answer the damn question. Or Hanta got asked to eat oranges in the middle of the night by Todoroki himself, and as they shared these moments together, he slowly started to realise how much he liked to have the boy around.

Someone he couldn't hide all this pain from. This someone, in particular, breaks down all his walls, causing him to tell that someone everything.
