the fear of emotional attachment; fear of being in, or falling in love.

Earth had become an endless warzone. It was simple, really. Every man for himself. Some moved and stole in groups, while others survived alone. On the outside, Elian was cold and ruthless, but deep down he just wanted to live an adventurous life with someone beside him. He wanted to be cared for. He'd been traveling alone since the fresh age of sixteen, simply taking the overgrown paths, and avoiding the rest of humanity. It was a pretty peaceful life.
