SHE LOVES ROSES🌹 AND HE'S MORE OF A DAISIES🌼 KIND OF GUY

Rose Chestnut had a plan. She always did. She had her four years of high school planned perfectly; all her i's dotted and t's crossed. She had one unwavering goal: getting into the fashion program at her dream school, Pratt Institute. And she would stop at nothing to make her application look it's absolute best for the occasion.

Terry Liu was, for lack of a better term, a mess. He knew few things for sure besides his love for football and was hoping to ride on that for college. Everything else came down to in-the-minute decisions, talk now think later kind of deal. And surely none of those plans included taking his mandatory art class. The one he'd been slyly charming his way out of for three years.

When Terry joins Rose's art class halfway through the year, Rose is appointed by her college counselor to help him settle in and catch up. It's seemingly a win-win, Terry's life is made that much easier, while Rose gets to tie the finishing bow on her college application...and get paid while she was at it. The catch is, Rose absolutely despises Terry and would rather be doing anything besides seeing him on a regular basis.

But despite Rose's negative feelings and Terry's indifference, the pair actually become something akin to friends...or maybe more?

Annabeth Reed had simple goals in her life, graduate at the top of her class, get a nice boyfriend and mostly win the scholarship to her dream art school. She had everything she could wish for a set of supportive parents, an annoying but lovable older brother, and two amazing best friends, but her life would have been so much better if not for her. Emmalyn Cole also known as the school's sweetheart was the exact opposite. She was bright, loud and the absolute center of Rosewood High. Being the daughter of a self-made businesswoman and a famous pianist, she knew she was destined for greatness, but in sophomore year when she was publicly dumped by her boyfriend for her sister, she felt her friends and life slipping away. Junior year she knew that the scholarship to the art school her sister wanted would be her saving grace. She would easily get in if not for her. What started as a small competition spanned into a decade-long rivalry between the two girls. Both ambitious and always after excellence. With the turn of fate, they are once again competing head-on with each other. With the growing competition, a new boy comes along catching everyone's attention including those two and soon they find themselves competing for something other than the scholarship. As time plays with the hearts of the sixteen-year-olds they move towards adulthood and with that comes messy feelings, responsibilities, fear of the future, and a glimpse into the world outside. As the days pass and they grow closer, the girls find themselves questioning is he the one? or are they each other's perfect half?

"I am the textbook definition of in love with you." *** Jazz Red has had a life full of love; his parents taught him how to value himself, his siblings taught him how to stand up for what he believed in, and his family has taught him what it means to matter to people. He has people in his corner, there for him and ready to have his back. He knows that there are people who are less lucky than him-- with unaccepting parents and cruel siblings and a harsh past. He knows that when things go wrong, sometimes people are alone. Sometimes they fall apart, and there's no one else there to catch their shattered pieces. But he isn't one of them. He has friends and family that love him. So why does he want more? Why does he-- even with all the joy his family gives him-- want a different type of love? He feels selfish, undeserving. Why did he have to feel so bad about being alone when he was surrounded by people who appreciated him? Why did he have to want, why did desire never leave him alone? Well, he finds out when he meets Castor Rex, a quiet and extremely interesting football player, and that empty part in Jazz's heart feels a little bit bigger when he starts to realize Cas could fill it. Cas sees him as a grinning, happy dork he has no chance with. Jazz sees him as a adorable, grumpy jock that now, is his. Castor wants to get through the school year as quietly as possible but with how loud Jazz loves, neither of them know if it's possible, and to make matters worse they're roommates for the rest of the year. It's only a matter of time before they come together or fall apart. *** Red's Series #4. Crossover to @whoscountinganyways User Series. Can be read as a stand alone.

They meet at a college dorm party the last week of her freshman year, and she's certain he likes her too. He's flirty and fun, and at the end of the night, he asks for her phone number. You don't do that if you're not interested, right? But after Aveen goes home for her summer break, she never hears back from Jamal. And unless she's reading things the wrong way, he still seems to be flirting with her. Confused and wondering whether Jamal is just a rake, Aveen makes a concerted effort to move on. However, when Jenna and Jamal talk Aveen into helping them prepare for a TV game show with a trip for two to Miami as the Grand Prize, Aveen has had enough. But Jenna and Jamal won't take no for an answer. Instead, they insist on setting Aveen up with their mutual friend Fred, so that Aveen and Fred can compete as well. It turns out that Fred has an interesting secret, but he's up for a free trip to Miami, so he agrees to fake date Aveen to see if they can win. But there's something else that Fred knows, and it's about Jamal's true feelings for Aveen and a family tragedy that has left him heartbroken and fragile. This new information changes everything, and Aveen has to decide what to do. Should she trust her instincts, pursue Jamal, and risk losing her best friend, or should she move on and quietly try to mend her broken heart?

"What is your type, then?" I jolt, his question catching me off guard. Rolling my head to the side to look at him, blades of grass press against my cheek. Thank god he's not watching me because he can't see the war happening inside of my head. On the contrary, Miles eyes are fluttered shut, one of his hands resting on his stomach. Every inch of his dark skin is illuminated by the moon, like angels poured silver glitter over him. There's no part of his body that isn't tastefully sculpted, almost like he took a shearing knife to his muscles before coming here simply to carve out a perfect body to tease me with. His t-shirt pulls taunt with each breath. The fabric catches on his muscles. The words are caught in the back of my throat. You. You have always been my type. Instead, I snort. Thomas is in his last year of high school. He's captain of the basketball team, pre-emptively invited to all the parties this year, and about to finally ask out his crush, Mia. It's gonna be a great year. Bailey is his best friend. He's smart, studious and loyal. He's also on the basketball team and he knows Thomas better than anyone. Oh, and he's in love with Thomas. That ought to make things interesting. ~ "Not funny, Tom." "Very funny, Bails." He raises his eyebrows in amusement at the nickname. "Bails?" "Well what would you call you?" I ask defensively. "I don't know. Lee?" "Do you want me to call you Lee?" "Nah." "Then that wasn't a very helpful suggestion, was it?" "It doesn't have to be. I shouldn't have to come up with my own nickname." "Well how am I supposed to do it?!" "I came up with yours!" "It's literally the first syllable of my name. It's not that amazing." He shrugs nonchalantly. "I don't hear anyone else calling you Tom." "That's because..." Huh. I actually don't know why that is. I don't let anyone else call me Tom because I have some vague memory of my father calling me Tom, but somehow it's okay when Bailey does it. Because Bailey's nothing like him. He would never leave me. **This is a spin off of Since Forever but can be read as a stand-alone.
